November is National Diabetes Month, and for the 37 million Americans who have diabetes, this time of year can be more difficult to manage. OSU Extension is offering “Take Charge of Your Diabetes During the Holidays” to help people with diabetes or pre-diabetes and their supporters.
Preparing nutritious foods that taste good can be difficult at any time of the year. It is no wonder that the holidays present special challenges for individuals with diabetes. During the Take Charge of Your Diabetes During the Holidays program you will learn how to prepare favorite holiday foods that are both nutritious and delicious. Cooking demonstrations and samples will be provided. Leslie Mayle, Registered Dietitian at Coshocton Regional Medical Center, will also provide tips for managing your diabetes during the holidays.
Take Charge of Your Diabetes During the Holidays will be held on Wednesday, November 6 from 5:30-7:30 PM at Coshocton Regional Medical Center, 1460 Orange Street, Coshocton, OH 43812. There is no cost for the program, but registration is required and is limited to 30 participants. Register online by October 30 at go.osu.edu/takecharge2024 or call OSU Extension for more details at 740-622-2265. Take Charge of your Diabetes During the Holidays Flyer
