Roughly one-third of divorces and dissolutions in Coshocton County are families with minor children. Beginning in March, Emily Marrison, Family and Consumer Sciences educator, will offer free, in-person classes to any co-parent wanting to gain more skills and resources to be the best co-parent they can.
Successful Co-Parenting is a 90-minute class designed to equip parents with the knowledge, skills, and strategies to help their children adjust to divorce now and in the future. In the Successful Co-Parenting class, participants learn about three important areas. These relate to the individual themselves, their relationship with their children, and their relationship with the co-parent moving forward. The class covers the importance of healthy communication with their child and their co-parent. These classes will be offered quarterly on March 10, June 3, September 14, and November 12. Each class will be from 5:30-7:00 PM in the County Services Building in Coshocton. Please register at go.osu.edu/coparentcoshocton
