The Coshocton County Commissioners, in partnership with Ohio StateĀ University Extension of Coshocton County, invite residents to attend the Project Launch: Land Use Plan Meeting to learn about the county's Comprehensive Land Use Plan update and opportunities for public involvement.
The Project Launch: Land Use Plan Meeting will be held on Monday, August 31, at 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Coshocton County Commissioners' Community Room, located at 637 Chestnut Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
This important planning initiative is funded through a grant awarded to the Coshocton County Commissioners by the Ohio Department of Agriculture. The grant will support the development of a countywide land use plan designed to guide future growth, development, and resource conservation efforts throughout Coshocton County.
Community members are encouraged to attend and learn more about the project, the planning process, and how they can help shape the future of the county. Coshocton County is updating its Comprehensive Land Use Plan for the first time since 2006, providing an opportunity to ensure the plan reflects current needs, community values, and future priorities. A land use plan serves as a long-term roadmap that helps guide decisions regarding agriculture, housing, economic development, transportation, natural resources, and community services.
The planning process is intended to be community-driven, allowing residents, farmers, business owners, local leaders, and other stakeholders to identify what they value most about Coshocton County and help create a shared vision for the next 50 years. Public input will help shape the goals and recommendations that guide future decision-making and investment throughout the county.
