Enjoy pickles? Want to learn how to make them and preserve them safely? Join Emily Marrison, Ohio State University Extension Family and Consumer Sciences Educator, for a hands-on class either in-person or virtually from your own kitchen. The “Making Pickles” class will be Thursday, August 4 at 6 PM at the OSU Extension Office, 724 S. 7th St., Room 110, Coshocton. You can come in person or view the class over Zoom. The OSU Extension Home Food Preservation Team is also offering the “Savoring Ohio Produce Webinar Series” all summer long.  These online classes emphasize the science behind preservation so that everyone who preserves fruits and vegetables understands why certain procedures must be followed precisely to ensure a high-quality, safe product that they and their family can enjoy. All online classes are Tuesday afternoons from 4-5 PM. Topics include: July 26- Peaches, August 9- Corn, August 23- Melon, September 6- Broccoli, Brussels sprouts and Cauliflower, and September 20- Potatoes.
