The Heart Healthy Living program is a short series of nutrition and lifestyle education classes for people with cardiovascular disease and those seeking to reduce their risk of developing heart disease. Learn how to lower sodium, use herbs and spices, reduce saturated and trans-fats, and practice techniques to better manage stress. Participants will taste a variety of recipes from main dishes to desserts.

The Heart Healthy Living three-class series dates are February 5, 12, and 19 with a snow date of February 26. The program will be held at Coshocton Regional Medical Center, 1460 Orange Street, Coshocton from 5:30-7:00 PM each evening.

Classes will be taught by Emily Marrison, OSU Extension educator, and Leslie Mayle, registered dietitian at Coshocton Regional Medical Center. The class series is $15 and includes educational handouts, recipe booklets, and tastings of heart healthy recipes. Support is key to make healthy behavior changes. You can register a support person to bring with you for an additional $10. Register at: go.osu.edu/hearthealthy
