Come learn about the history of climate change, its current trends and outlook, and hear tips on gardening practices relative to climate change with Dr. Thomas Blaine on Thursday evening, June 9, 2016 at 6:30 pm at the Frontier Power Community Room.
Dr. Blaine holds BA, MS, and PhD degrees from the University of Kentucky and was on the graduate faculty at Texas A&M University before joining Ohio State University Extension in 1995. Dr. Blaine conducts research and develops educational materials that deal with the economic dimensions of environmental issues ranging from global climate change to recycling, preservation of farmland and green space, protection/improvement of Lake Erie water quality, and local food production and consumption in areas referred to as “food deserts.” His paper, “Global Climate Change: Update 2015,” is available at: http://ohioline.osu.edu/factsheet/cdfs-203
