On May 31, 2007, Master Gardeners broke ground on a new bed at Clary Gardens.
Master Gardeners hope that in two years, this garden will be accepted to be an All-American Selection Display Garden.
HARD WORK!! The second tilling was done June 5. Stones, roots, weed clumps, pottery shards,
a very thin, worn dime, a small pen knife and a possum jaw bone were discovered and discarded...
June 7, we finished raking and removed more rocks... plotted out the area and inserted plant tags.
Master Gardeners mulched, planted and watered and watered and watered on June 9th.
The teepees to support annual vines are Ailanthus branches (the only thing it's good for!).
A new garden is always so exciting! Keep checking back for progress...
